Vistry gets the go-ahead from Tunbridge Wells Borough Council for 87 mixed-tenure homes in Pembury, Kent

Vistry, the UK's leading provider of mixed-tenure homes, has received planning approval from Tunbridge Wells Borough Council for the delivery of 87 high-quality mixed-tenure homes in Pembury, on the outskirts of Tunbridge Wells in Kent.

Of the 87 homes being delivered in total, 35 of these will be affordable – 21 for social rent and 14 shared ownership – with the remaining homes available for private sale. In addition to the new homes being created, Vistry will be providing recreational public spaces accessible to the wider community, children’s play areas, new pedestrian and cycle connections as well as upgrades to public footpaths, plus the creation of a Sustainable Drainage System (SuDS) pond to provide a natural habitat for local wildlife. Vistry will also be making financial contributions towards highway improvements and community facilities in the area including sports and recreation facilities, education and heritage interpretation boards.

James Harkin, Head of Vistry Strategic Land, said: “We are very pleased to be delivering the mix of high-quality new homes that residents need, alongside a range of public benefits including transport and highways improvements, recreational green spaces and support for community facilities including health and education that are vital for the creation of thriving and sustainable neighbourhoods.”
